It’s here! The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup has finally arrived! For those of you joining us in the early hours of the morning, hello (waves), and for those of you reading this a few hours after the opening matches have already been played, hello as well.

The first match of the tournament sees New Zealand square off against Group A opponents Norway in Auckland, while Australia will kick off against their Group B opponents, the Republic of Ireland, three hours later in Sydney.

The other two teams in Group B, Nigeria and Canada will then face each other later on in the day, and the other two teams in Group A, the Phillipines and Switzerland will kick off very early on Friday morning for any East coasters planning on staying up to watch the games. That will be followed by Spain vs Costa Rica a little later on as the openers of Group C.

Friday evening will see the USWNT kick off against Vietnam in Group E, then followed by Zambia vs Japan and England vs Haiti early on Saturday morning. The rest of weekend sees Denmark square off against China, Sweden against South Africa, Netherland against Portugal, and France against Jamaica. Monday will see Italy face off against Argentina, Germany against Morocco, Brazil against Panama, and rounding out the first matchday will be Colombia against Panama.
