Just over two months ago, Jenni Hermoso helped her country with their first ever World Cup title. What followed that moment was something that marred the sport in Spain forever and it led to Hermoso, Spain’s all-time leading scorer, not returning to the national team set up until now.
Hermoso scored the only goal of the game against Italy in League A, Group 4, making it three wins out of three for Spain. Her total goal tally for Spain now stands at 52 after scoring this winner:

It hasn’t been an easy few months for Jenni Hermoso so for her to come into the national team set up, and score such an important goal, cannot be emphasised enough. The joy and celebrations emitted from her teammates after she scored also shows how much that goal mattered. Not just for the Nations League, but for all Hermoso has to overcome recently.
Spain continue to show how impressive they are, and having Hermoso back and in form will only aid them as a team.
