As the NWSL continues to grow and expand itself as a professional league, sponsors are always a solid way to achieve the growth that any league wants to achieve. The league announced this morning that it had partnered with Deloitte LLP in a multi-year collaboration. Deloitte will be the Official Professional Services Provider for the NWSL and also serve as a sponsor.
Part of this collaboration will include a 10-year strategic plan, as per the press release, as well as other services which include fan engagement and the overall growth of the league.
As per her statement, Terri Cooper, vice chair of external diversity, equity and inclusion for Deloitte LLP, indicated that Deloitte was “proud to support the NWSL” Deloitte’s commitment and dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion is “a core pillar” of the new sponsorship with the league.
Commissioner Lisa Baird also commented on the new partnership, stating that the league was thrilled to have Deloitte joining them as their “experience and breadth of capabilities across long-term strategy, fan engagement, and beyond will play an integral role” in how the league looks to grow as a business.
