In the interests of going deeper and probing footballers minds further than ever before, we at AllForXI have once again been asking professional footballers in the Women’s Super League some very silly questions.

AFXI: If you were stuck on a desert island, which three teammates would you want with you?

Chloe Arthur (Aston Villa): “Marisa [Ewers] because I live with her as well, so it’s got to be Marisa. Ramona [Petezelberger] and one more….you’re going to be there for a long time, 24/7, so it’s got to be someone good um, I’ll go Emily Syme.”

AFXI: A question that has plague scholars for years, pineapple on pizza: yay or ney?

Jennifer Beattie (Arsenal): “Ney.”

AFXI: If you had to have one song play every time you walked into a room, what song would you have?

Hannah Cain (Leicester City): “I like old school music… I like Whitney, anything Whitney Houston you putting on, if I’m walking into that room, I’m singing it. Anything Whitney and I’m there.”

AFXI: Friday night karaoke; what’s your go-to song?

Dan Carter (Brighton): “Bob Marley – Is This Love.”

AFXI: If you could go anywhere or any point in time, where/when would you go?

Jessie Fleming (Chelsea): “Maybe back in time to spend more time with my grandparents, maybe getting to travel with them a bit more.”

AFXI: What three words would you use to describe yourself?

Valérie Gauvin (Everton): “Dynamique (dynamic), gentile (nice) and….it’s hard. Fort (strong).”

AFXI: Do you have any hidden talents?

Vicky Losada (Manchester City): “I got a guitar about three years ago but I think I have used it about once, so I don’t think I’ve found my hidden talent yet.”

AFXI: If someone made a movie of your life, who would play you?

Louise Quinn (Birmingham City): “I can’t remember her name, but I have been compared to Alex Vause from Orange is the New Black. Basically her and I used to have darker hair and the glasses and some people used to say I looked like her....and I used to watch that 70s Show that she was in and I really liked her in that. That would be it and I’d be happy with her.”

Birmingham City press officer after a Google: “Laura Prepon.”

AFXI: If you were on a desert island, what three things would you take with you?

Rachel Rowe (Reading): “I would have to take my toothbrush (but a toothbrush instantly comes with toothpaste, that is not another item), a pen knife because I do believe I’m Bear Grylls and I think I could get out of any situation with a penknife annnnd a…flint so you can make a fire. I think you’ve got to go survival, you’re at the pits, you don’t know where you are but if you can make a fire, you can cook, you can eat, then I just have to find some sort of stream so I can drink.”

AFXI: What would you do if you were queen for the day?

Chioma Ubogagu (Tottenham): “Um, you know what, I think I would want to do…if I was the queen, I imagine you live a very guarded lifestyle so I would want to do just a bunch of normal things like walk around the city and maybe get a McDonalds and go to Harry Potter World, just like all these normal things and try to be around normal people because she probably doesn’t get to do that much.”

AFXI: What would you do if you were suddenly transformed into a fish?

Claudia Walker (West Ham United): “I’d probably just swim about seeing how fast I could go and then see how high I could jump out the water.”

AFXI: If there was a Man United version of Bake Off, who’d win?

Katie Zelem (Manchester United): “Definitely not me. Who would win this year? I don’t know if we’ve got any bakers this year, Lizzie [Arnot] was our team baker in previous years, maybe Stan [Lucy Staniforth] but maybe that’s just because she’s the oldest.”
