Match day three of the World Cup kicks off today with a pair of Group C games and a Group D highlight.

Group C has been dubbed group chaos— and with good reason. Australia takes on Italy to open up Matchday 3 in one of the most anticipated games of the group stages. The world is ready for Sam Kerr as she captains the Matildas through their first match in the tournament. Will this be the game she scores her first World Cup goal? Australia has to get through what might be Group C’s best defense in Italy, anchored by longtime Azzurra and Juventus centerback Sara Gama.

It’s tough news for Brazil as they’ve replaced two defenders prior to their opening match. Injuries to Érika and Fabiana will now have Daiane and Poliana in their roster spots. Brazil has also announced that Marta will not play in today’s opening match after trying to rehab through a thigh injury. Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz will want to try and take advantage if an opportunity presents itself during the game.

England faces off against Scotland to introduce Group D and end the trio of matches on the day. The long awaited arrival of Scotland’s Kim Little to a World Cup has arrived, and if Little can link up with Erin Cuthbert, there could be some nice goal highlights for Scotland. Don’t count out England’s Lionesses, who have offensive fire power of their own in Fran Kirby and Nikita Paris.
